First House

We just bought our first house and I’m totally into getting it all tricked out the way I want it. I’ve spent a ton of time decorating and getting it all ready and I love being able to go out shopping and get anything and everything I need for the new place – I feel like such an adult having my own big house! I’ve spent a lot of time doing all the logistical stuff like getting in touch with an exterminator and calling http://www.TVbyDIRECT.com for our TVs but once all that’s done I think we’re really going to have the house of our dreams, at least for a few years! We’re not ready to have kids yet but once we have more than one we’re going to outgrow this place pretty quickly so it won’t take long before we’re ready to move on up. For now though this place is perfect and I feel so lucky to be able to afford a house in this market and this economy with my husband!

The "Smart Phone" Debate

It’s the 21st century, everyone and their grandma has a smartphone in this day and age, but which one is the best? Personally I have gone through many phone’s, many of which have been “smartphones”.

It seems everywhere we look there is a new phone being released, with so many options it can be overwhelming. I recently had the same of issue of not being able to find the best  “smartphone” for me, but luckily things have changed. Your probably saying “shutup and tells which phone you have chosen”. So without further ado my favorite smartphone so far is... the iPhone 4. Yea big shocker I know, but the reason I am writing this explanation is not to tell you what my favorite phone is, but to inform as why that is. Many people love their iPhone’s but they have no idea why they like it; that's why I'm here to explain what differentiates the iPhone from other “smart devices”.

Rumor has it that the iPhone was being created almost six years ago, this really shows in its design and OS.  In my opinion phones are being created to fast, the manufacturer's are hardly putting any thought or effort into the details of the phone. For me what really takes the iPhone over the top are the small details that have been tested and thought out many a times.

Another leading factor in the success of the iPhone is the App store. With over 350000 apps in the App store its obvious why Apple has the leading App store.  That was defiantly one of the biggest reasons for me to pickup the iPhone instead of a Android device.

One other major reason I chose the iPhone over any other “smartphone” was simply because of the uncluttered interface. As a “power user” this is essential, I don’t want to be spending hours learning the interface of a new device. Apple has really made it easy for anyone to pickup an iPhone and be able to use it with success.

Now let’s be honest there is no such thing as the perfect “smartphone “. The iPhone does have its limitations and flaws. A good example is how Apple has completely locked down their OS and how there is no flash support etc... When it really comes down to it doesn’t matter what phone you have as long as it works for you, and in my case the iPhone is defiantly the best phone for me at this stage in the game.
